How D+AC Has Saved Clients Money
- A client faced an investment of $1.5
million to meet insurance company fire protection requirements
on a facility. D+AC evaluated the project and determined
the insurance requirements for the hazards involved were inappropriate.
Our negotiations with the insurance company on behalf of the client
resulted in improved fire protection and over $325,000 in project
cost savings
- An aerospace client faced with launch
facility damage after a catastrophic fire estimated the fire protection
retrofit project would take 120 days, with launch delay losses
of $1 million per day. D+AC's analysis, design/specifications,
and direct interface with the fire protection contractor enabled
the facility to be back in operation in only 30 days---90 days
early
- A fossil fuel power plant client was
considering an extremely expensive retrofitting design for a sprinkler
system protecting their coal conveyor line. D+AC reviewed
the design and found it to be inadequate. Our revised design saved
the client approximately $800,000 while providing equivalent protection
- A gas plant client was designing a processing
facility. D+AC evaluated the clients in-house staff's design
and recommended a different fire protection approach--improving
both protection and personnel safety, and saving the client approximately
$200,000
